What is An OMI?
An OMI is a unique jewel, made by cutting and melting together various rare and beautiful glasses. Each OMI is different; individually hand cut, assembled and fired by the artist, Lise. Layering different types of glass together, then firing at temperatures up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit creates the amazing colors. A piece might be fired up to 8 times to produce the remarkable depth and brilliance. Silver wire is sometimes woven in during the middle firings creating intricate designs. Wear a captured rainbow around your neck; explore the universe of OMI!
